As a member of the award-winning Smarter Commerce Team, the Order Management Consultant will be trained to implement and customize the Sterling Commerce software package using the following tools: J2EE, including Java, JSP and servlets. Candidates must have experience with application development using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services, JMS messaging, XML, XSLT, XPath, and must have experience doing system integration of SOA based Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Software (COTS) products. Work experience in the retail or supply chain sector is preferred, IBM has recently acquired Sterling Commerce and now provides consulting services to Sterling clients across multiple industries. This position requires 75% travel.

  • Required
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • At least 1 year experience in J2EE including Java/JSP/servlets
    • At least 1 year experience in SOA Architecture
    • At least 1 year experience in JMS messaging
    • At least 1 year experience in XML, XLST, XPath
    • At least 1 year experience in system integration of SOA based COTS products
    • Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
    • English: Intermediate
    • At least 3 years experience in J2EE including Java/JSP/servlets
    • At least 3 years experience in SOA Architecture
    • At least 3 years experience in JMS messaging
    • At least 3 years experience in XML, XLST, XPath
    • At least 3 years experience in system integration of SOA based COTS products
    • At least 1 year experience in the retail or supply chain sector
    • At least 1 year experience in providing consulting services to external clients
