Job description
Remote work is not available. All work is conducted at IBM's Dubuque, Iowa Domestic Delivery Center. Relocation to Dubuque, Iowa is required and reimbursement is not provided.

IBM's Domestic Delivery Center in downtown Dubuque, Iowa is seeking Technical Support Specialists responsible for providing support for problem tickets and steady state activities in for Integration Operations. The Configuration Manager position will troubleshoot issues related to Tivoli Asset Discovery for Distributed (TAD4D), Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Manager (TADDM).

IT Specialists in this job role will have expertise in supporting and troubleshooting application and system problems. Typical examples of the deliverables are addressing errors that have occurred in with TAD4D & TADDM scans not completing correctly. IT Specialists will have to troubleshoot tools and systems to determine the problem, and how to resolve.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure TAD4D & TADDM errors are addressed by creating problem tickets for tracking and action the issue to resolution by resolving the problem.

  • Resolve any issues with the TAD4D & TADDM scans that did not complete successfully and rerun any necessary scans.

  • Run any necessary manual scans

  • Work with peer teams as necessary to ensure scans complete successfully and tools remain operational.

  • Manage tickets in the IBM and customer ticketing systems to insure they are updated and completed in the appropriate timeframes based on severity.

    Pager and off-shift coverage may be required.
  • Required
    • High School Diploma/GED
    • At least 1 year experience in application support, troubleshooting issues, resolving issues and maintaining a healthy environment
    • At least 1 year experience in UNIX and/or Windows admin support, network knowledge (firewall and ports)
    • English: Fluent
    Preferred
    • Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Information Technology
    • At least 1 year experience in databases, including SQL, DB2, Lotus/Domino, Notes, Websphere
    • At least 1 year experience in integration techniques and Architecture
    • Basic knowledge in problem ticketing tool
    • Basic knowledge in TAD4D or TADDM
