The following student position is a part of IBM Canada's EPIC (Employment Pathways to Interns & Co-ops) Student Program. This position is only open to students registered in a Canadian University or College program, who have completed a minimum of 2 years of their degree or diploma program, and who must be returning to full-time study upon the completion of the temporary IBM work term.
Title: Rational Technical Support Professional
Our Service team delivers remote support to worldwide customers for IBM's Eclipse and Java-based Tools such as Rational Application Developer, Rational Asset Manager and Mobile Development Lifecycle Solution. This Developer Support role will provide you with the opportunity for hands-on experience with leading edge Java EE development technologies and IBM Application Development Software.
In this role you will be working with and learning about a plethora of Java EE technologies such as WEB 2.0, EJB, Web Services and Portal development while integrating with the IBM WebSphere Application Server and the IBM WebSphere Portal Server runtimes. As you provide support to our customers you will be responsible for working with internal and external resources to troubleshoot, identify and develop solutions or workarounds for the customer issues and continue to enhance your analytical and problem solving skills.
To succeed on this team we are looking for candidates who are:
Technical support or customer facing experience would be beneficial but not a requirement. If you have these skills and are looking for an amazing opportunity to apply them then this position is right for you.
